What changed in April 2026
- SSP is paid from your first day off sick (the 3 unpaid "waiting days" were removed).
- There is no minimum earnings level any more: lower earners get 80% of their pay instead of nothing.
- The full rate is £123.25 a week for 2026/27, for up to 28 weeks.
